Application

Any artist is welcome to apply to enter the AAB for free, however application to the event does not guarantee inclusion in the final selection due to limited space. We encourage a diverse range of styles and prices.

AAB 2010 Terms and Conditions

I. Submission

EITHER:

● Email the filled in form together with any work you would like to exhibit to affordableartbeijing@gmail.com
not later than Feb 28th, 2010　

OR:

● Post the completed form together with a CD of any work you would like to exhibit to 6 Babaokeng Hutong, Dongsi, Dongcheng District, 100010 Beijing. before Feb 28th, 2010

II. Categories:

● Painting (any type of paint on any material)
● Drawing
● Prints
● Photography
● Sculpture
● Fashion
● Design (objects and furniture)

You are welcome to suggest a category we have not listed as long as the work fits under visual/creative arts and is an object which can be sold within the price limit.

III. Criteria and Conditions

• The deadline for submission is no later than February 28th 2010.
• Submitted images for selection must be around 300kb
• Only works submitted with a complete AAB application form will be accepted.
• Works are limited to five works per artist. Works can be submitted in any medium.
• Submitted work MUST be complete, sale quality and signed, editioned, dated etc. where necessary. No 'exhibition only' or 'artist prints' will be accepted.
• Price (to AAB, NOT sale price)
• The top price limit on sales will be 10,000 RMB but 50% of the work will be under 5000 RMB ensuring a range of prices with something for everyone. For this reason, we ask that artists are realistic in their pricing – over priced works will not be accepted as they go against the essence of the fair. A 15% commission will be taken on each work, from AAB to cover logistical costs.
• Artists should be able to collect their money for the works they have sold within 1 month after the fair has ended.
• All unsold work MUST be collected by the artist or an artist representative within 2 days from the end of the fair. AAB will take no responsibility for left work.
• All transportation of the work is the responsibility of the artist.

IV. Result Announcement

All the works submitted will be vetted by AAB selection committee from Feb 2010. The chosen works will be announced at the end of February.

All selected works will be recorded in the official exhibition database by March 2nd 2010. No new works will be accepted after this date.

V. Shipping

• All selected works MUST be delivered to the assigned address (to be announced) one week before the exhibition.
• Late work or unregistered work will not be accepted and will be left at the artist's own risk.
• After the fair, unsold works must be collected by the artist from the same place they were dropped off.

欢迎您提出一个未被我们列出的类别，只要作品适合视觉、创作艺术以及可在规定的价格内出售的实体。

三、参展条件及审核

• 作品提交申请截止日期是2010年2月28号；
• 提交作品图片大小必需约300kb；
• 只接受完整填写AAB申请表所提交的作品；
• 提交的作品数量限5件，作品可以为任何媒介；
• 确保你的作品是可以出售的质量、完整，包括签名、版号及创作年代等; 不接受只用于展览的作品和艺术家保留没有被签名的作品；
• 确保提交给AAB的是作品底价，不是销售价；
• 最高销售价是10000元人民币，但50％的作品价格将在5000元以下，这样是为了确保每个人都可以在合适的范围内买到作品。基于这个原因，我们要求标价时要务实，因违背该活动的实质而价格过高的 作品将不被接受。每幅作品的底价加上15％为销售价，这个15％将作为“买得起的艺术 － 北京”后勤支出；
  
• 售出作品的艺术家应可在展览结束后1个月内收到钱款；
• 未出售的作品艺术家或艺术家的代理人需在活动结束后2天取回，AAB不负责保管；
• 所有的运输费用都由艺术家本人承担。

四、入围宣布

从2010年2月初开始，AAB评委会对所有提交作品进行筛选。于2月底通知参展的艺术家。

选中作品会被录入到正式展览册子，入册作品截止日期为2010年3月2日。逾期不再接受任何新的作品。

五、运输

• 入册作品必需在展览开幕前一周送到AAB指定地点。AAB将进一步公布运输地点。
• 晚到或不在册子内的作品将不被接纳，风险由艺术家自己承担。
• 展览结束后，艺术家在交作品的相同地点将未售出的作品收回。
